Abstract

 Historical context also helps us understand that philosophy and society are often historically and socially contingent. Philosophy and social theories can be the product of certain historical circumstances and political struggles. The study of history helps us understand why certain ideas or theories developed at certain times and how they influenced social and political change.

Keywords

Political, cultural or ideological interests, historical context, the successes of previous generations, stimulates our critical thinking.
