Abstract

CAKUT syndrome is a combined congenital malformation of the kidneys and urinary tract. Pathology occurs as a result of teratogenic influences, spontaneous genetic mutations, and hereditary diseases. The main manifestations of the disease: agenesis and hypoplasia of the kidneys, doubling of the ureters, vesicoureteral reflux. Diagnostics includes a complex of instrumental visualization methods (ultrasound, urography, CT or MRI) in combination with clinical, biochemical and genetic tests.
