REALISM IN AMERICAN FICTION

Abstract

 In American literature, the realism that arose in the 19th century after the era of romanticism sought to illuminate the complexities of everyday life, which gave rise to an open and attractive feeling for readers who sought to understand the condition of the people of society of that time. The worldview and thought of the writers of the country turned out to be completely different. In this article, we will discuss the era of realism, its creators and their distinctive features.
