THE ROLE OF UZBEKISTAN MUSEUMS IN PRESERVING CULTURAL HERITAGE AND STRENGTHENING NATIONAL IDENTITY
Abstract
This article analyzes the role of museums in Uzbekistan in preserving cultural heritage and strengthening national identity from a cultural studies perspective. Based on governmental policies and legal documents such as the Law “On Culture” and decrees on museum modernization, the study explores the sociocultural functions of modern museums. Statistical data and comparative methods are applied to critically assess the contribution of museums to cultural identity formation in Uzbekistan.
