ANATOMY AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF THE CEREBRAL CORTEX
Abstract
The cerebral cortex is the most advanced part of the human brain responsible for sensory perception, motor control, language, memory, and cognitive functions. Understanding the structure and functional areas of the cortex provides essential knowledge for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. This article analyzes the anatomy of the cerebral cortex, describing its functional organization and clinical importance in neurological and neurosurgical practice.
Keywords
