PROBLEMS OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND WAYS TO OVERCOME THEM IN THE FERGANA REGION DURING THE EARLY YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract

In the article, the provision of medical care to the population of Fergana region during the years of independence, the enhancement of the quality and efficiency of sanitary and preventive services, particularly the protection of the lives of women of reproductive age, pregnant women, and children, as well as the satisfaction of the population’s demand for highly qualified medical services, are analyzed. The paper also examines the increase in certain types of diseases due to shortcomings in medical service delivery, the special attention paid to primary health care-especially in rural areas-and the activities carried out within the emergency medical care network, highlighting both achievements and existing shortcomings.
