IS THE INDIVIDUAL A SUBJECT OF INTERNATIONAL LAW?

Abstract

This article analyzes the issue of recognizing individuals as subjects of international law. Traditional approaches recognize only states as subjects of international law, while modern international law strengthens the legal status of individuals in the fields of human rights, international criminal law, and investment law. Based on international tribunal decisions and conventions, the expansion of individuals' international responsibility and rights is demonstrated.
