FRIENDSHIP TESTED BY ADVERSITY: UZBEK-TURKISH COOPERATION DURING COVID-19 AND EARTHQUAKE

Abstract

The article discusses how cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey has strengthened during the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2023 Turkish earthquake. It shows that during the pandemic, the two countries actively cooperated in the field of medical assistance, protective equipment, vaccines, and exchange of experience. It is noted that during the earthquake, Uzbekistan was the first to send rescuers, humanitarian aid, and container houses, which further strengthened the brotherly ties between the two peoples. This processes Uzbekistan – Turkey​ of relations strategic and humanitarianism based on has that it is confirms.
