PHILOSOPHICAL VIEWS OF THE RUSSIAN GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY
Abstract
This article analyzes the philosophical concepts of the Russian Geographical Society, its formation and its influence on the development of geographical science. Historical-analytical, systems and civilizational approaches were applied in the study. The Russian geographical school played a key role in shaping the philosophy of nature–society interaction, spatial thinking, ethnocultural development and geopolitical concepts. As a result, geography evolved into an integrative and philosophically grounded science.
