WATER RESOURCE POLLUTION AND DRINKING WATER HYGIENE
Keywords:
xAbstract
Water is the source of life and one of the most essential natural resources required for the survival, development, and reproduction of all living organisms on Earth. Approximately 60–70 percent of the human body consists of water, and daily physiological processes take place with its participation. At the same time, water is the main foundation of public utilities, agriculture, industry, energy, and communal services. However, in recent decades, the quality of water resources worldwide has been deteriorating. Population growth, intensified industrialization, weak environmental control, and climate change have placed serious pressure on water reserves.
