A LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF BORROWED LAYERS AND LEXICAL-STYLISTIC FEATURES IN JADID-ERA DRAMATIC WORKS

Abstract

This article analyzes one of the most important aspects of the Jadids' legacy – the renewal of the education system and the impact of this process on the Uzbek literary language, especially the lexical layer in dramatic works. The work highlights the formation, activity, and methodological role of native and borrowed elements – Arabic, Persian-Tajik, Russian, Ottoman Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Tatar. The historical connections of the Uzbek and Tajik languages, phonetic and morphological changes, and the manifestation of the processes of mixing and hybridization in Jadid dramas are analyzed on a scientific basis. The aesthetic possibilities of Jadid dramaturgy are revealed through the analysis of tropes that determine the level of imagery of artistic language – metaphor, metonymy, and synecdoche. The research results show the harmony of multilingualism, lexical changes, and stylistic renewal in the development of the Jadid literary language.
