DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ CREATIVE THINKING THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF THE STEAM APPROACH IN PRIMARY EDUCATION
Abstract
In This article examines the development of creative thinking among primary school students through the implementation of the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) in the educational process. The essence and content of STEAM education, its differences from traditional teaching methods, and its importance for young learners are analyzed. Special attention is given to integrated lessons, project-based learning, problem-solving activities, and practical tasks that enhance students’ independence, creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills. The findings indicate that the STEAM approach is an effective pedagogical technology that fosters not only academic knowledge but also creative and critical thinking. The results highlight the relevance of introducing innovative teaching methods into primary education and provide practical recommendations for teachers.
