THE IMPACT OF GENETIC FACTORS ON DENTAL DISEASES.
Keywords:

Dental diseases are among the most common health problems worldwide, and their development is influenced by both environmental and genetic factors. In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to the role of genetics in the susceptibility to dental and oral diseases. Genetic factors can affect tooth development, enamel structure, saliva composition, immune response, and the oral microbiome, thereby influencing the risk of conditions such as dental caries, periodontal diseases, malocclusion, and enamel defects. Understanding genetic predisposition helps in early diagnosis, risk assessment, and the development of personalized preventive and therapeutic strategies in dentistry. This topic highlights the importance of integrating genetic research into modern dental practice to improve patient outcomes and promote precision dentistry.
