EXPANDER STRETCHING OF TISSUES IN THE TREATMENT OF POST-BURN SCAR ALOPECIA

Abstract

The authors present the clinical experience of using the method of expander plastic surgery to eliminate cicatricial allopecia of the cranial vault. 29 patients were operated with this method. Long-term results of treatment of scar deformities (alopecia) and soft tissue defects of the cranial vault were studied in all 29 (100%) patients. At the same time, good and satisfactory results were recorded in 22 (75.8%) patients and unsatisfactory – in 7 (24.2%).
