TOLERANCE AND HUMAN RIGHTS: AN ANALYSIS OF INTERNATIONAL LEGAL NORMS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN MODERN SOCIETY
Abstract
The article provides a scholarly analysis of the essence and content of the principle of tolerance, as well as its social and legal aspects, based on international legal norms. Tolerance is considered as an important factor in ensuring human rights and freedoms, and its role in strengthening peace, harmony, and good-neighborly relations in society is revealed. The article also substantiates the significance of the principle of tolerance in fostering mutual respect and solidarity among representatives of different nations, religions, and cultures. Furthermore, the importance of tolerance in ensuring a safe and stable social environment for peoples, as well as its role in enhancing legal culture in modern society, is examined from a theoretical and legal perspective.
