Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of media neologisms of the Russian and Uzbek languages in a comparative aspect. The relevance of the work is determined by the active neologization processes occurring in modern media discourse under the influence of socio-political, cultural, and technological changes. Mass media and digital platforms act as the most important channels for the formation and dissemination of new lexical units. The purpose of the article is to identify the main sources and ways of forming media neologisms in Russian and Uzbek languages. The work analyzes borrowed, word-forming, and semantic neologisms functioning in media texts. Special attention is paid to the role of anglicisms, calquing processes, and the use of internal resources of languages. The research is conducted based on materials from contemporary Russian and Uzbek media and internet resources using comparative-comparative, descriptive, and contextual analysis methods.
