THE DESCRIPTION OF THE CONCEPTS OF DIGITAL DISCOURSE AND PRAGMATICS IN MODERN LINGUISTICS
Abstract
:This article explores the conceptual and theoretical foundations of digital discourse and pragmatics within the framework of modern linguistics. With the rapid development of information and communication technologies, language use has significantly transformed, giving rise to new forms of interaction in digital environments. The study examines how digital discourse differs from traditional discourse in terms of structure, function, and communicative strategies. Particular attention is paid to the role of pragmatics in interpreting meaning in online communication, where context, intention, and user interaction play a crucial role. The research also highlights key pragmatic features such as speech acts, politeness strategies, and implicatures in digital platforms. By analyzing contemporary linguistic approaches, the article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how digital discourse operates and how pragmatic principles are adapted in virtual communication. The findings contribute to the broader field of discourse analysis and offer insights into evolving language practices in the digital age.
