Abstract

The article reveals the literary-critical views of the great Uzbek writer Abdulla Qodiriy and his attitude toward the literary process of his time. The writer’s profound reflections on the duty of a creative artist and his attitude toward the word, expressed in articles such as “To Our Writers” and “Reading and Learning,” demonstrate that he was an active and engaged creator of his era. Qodiriy’s review articles and letters, in turn, show that he made a significant contribution to the works being created within the literary process, as well as to the development of Uzbek literary criticism.
