COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF WORD FORMATION IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

Abstract

This research paper provides a comprehensive 15-page analytical exploration of word-formation mechanisms within contemporary English internet discourse and their comparative integration into the Uzbek linguistic system. As digital communication continues to redefine linguistic boundaries, traditional morphological models are undergoing significant transformations. This study identifies and categorizes the most productive models of lexical innovation, including blending, acronymization, and functional shift, while also examining the phenomenon of morphological hybridization within the Uzbek digital segment. By analyzing a vast corpus of data from social media platforms such as Instagram and Telegram, the paper concludes that the "principle of linguistic economy" acts as the primary catalyst for modern linguistic evolution. Furthermore, the study offers pedagogical insights into integrating these digital neologisms into English language teaching methodologies in Uzbekistan.
