Abstract

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN MODERN SOCIETY

 Digital technologies have significantly transformed intercultural communication in modern society by creating new opportunities for interaction, collaboration, and cultural exchange among people from different countries and cultural backgrounds. The rapid development of the Internet, social media platforms, online education, and digital communication tools has accelerated globalization and increased intercultural contact in everyday life. This article examines the influence of digital technologies on the development of intercultural communication and analyzes both the positive and negative aspects of digital interaction in multicultural environments. The study explores how digital communication contributes to cultural understanding, language learning, international cooperation, and the formation of global communities. Special attention is given to the role of social networks, virtual learning environments, and artificial intelligence technologies in promoting intercultural dialogue. At the same time, the article discusses challenges associated with digital intercultural communication, including language barriers, misinformation, cultural stereotypes, cyber discrimination, and digital inequality.
