LATIN TERMINOLOGY ANALYSIS IN PHARMACY

Abstract

This article explores the role of Latin in pharmacy, tracing its historical significance and continued impact on prescription writing, pharmacological nomenclature, and pharmaceutical formulations. The article highlights the advantages and challenges of using Latin terminology, particularly in maintaining consistency and accuracy in the medical field. Although the use of Latin has declined in modern pharmacy, it remains integral to scientific education and international pharmacopoeias.
