DERIVATIONAL ANALYSIS OF ECOTOURISM TERMS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Abstract
This article examines the derivational analysis of ecotourism terminology in English and Uzbek languages, focusing on the structural and semantic processes involved in term formation. The study highlights the productive word-formation mechanisms, such as affixation, compounding, and semantic shift, which contribute to the enrichment of ecotourism-related vocabulary. Special attention is given to similarities and differences in derivational patterns across both languages, as well as the role of cultural and linguistic factors in shaping terminological systems. The research also emphasizes the significance of comparative analysis for developing unified approaches in translation studies, lexicography, and language teaching. By analyzing authentic examples, the paper provides insights into how new concepts in the field of sustainable tourism are linguistically represented in English and Uzbek, thus contributing to a better understanding of the dynamics of ecological terminology development
