INVESTIGATION OF RISK FACTORS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIABETIC RETINOPATHY IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract

 This article examines the main risk factors contributing to the development of diabetic retinopathy. The study results showed that the duration of diabetes, poor glycemic control, arterial hypertension, and dyslipidemia play an important role in disease progression. Early identification and management of these factors are essential for preserving vision.
