A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PROVERBS IN UZBEK AND GERMAN LANGUAGES

Abstract

Proverbs, as concise and memorable sayings, reflect the values, traditions, and worldview of a particular culture. This article examines and compares proverbs in Uzbek and German languages, exploring the cultural nuances and linguistic structures that shape their meanings. By analyzing various examples, we aim to understand the similarities and differences in the way both cultures express common wisdom, moral lessons, and everyday experiences through proverbs. The article discusses the implications of these comparisons for cross-cultural understanding and language learning, shedding light on the universal and culturally specific elements present in proverbs from both languages.
