THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN ENHANCING MANAGEMENT INNOVATION: EVIDENCE FROM UZBEKISTAN’S ENTERPRISES

Abstract

This study examines the conceptual relationship between digital transformation and management innovation, focusing on the case of enterprises in Uzbekistan. The research explores how technological progress—particularly in artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven systems—reshapes management practices and promotes innovation-oriented thinking within organizations. Using a theoretical approach, the paper synthesizes international and national literature to identify the main drivers of digital transformation: technological integration, organizational culture, and leadership capability. The study highlights that these dimensions jointly determine the effectiveness of management innovation and that institutional readiness and human capital development are essential for successful digital adaptation. The analysis situates the discussion within the Digital Uzbekistan 2030 framework, emphasizing the government’s role in supporting digital initiatives and innovation ecosystems. The paper concludes that digital transformation serves as both a catalyst and a challenge for enterprises, offering new opportunities for competitive advantage while demanding greater strategic alignment, digital literacy, and leadership capacity. The outcomes of this conceptual research provide a foundation for future empirical studies in management and innovation within Uzbekistan’s economic context.
