IMPLEMENTATION MECHANISMS OF DUAL EDUCATION IN VOCATIONAL COLLEGES: INTERNATIONAL BEST PRACTICES

Abstract

This article examines the implementation mechanisms of dual education in vocational colleges by analyzing international best practices and their applicability in developing educational systems. Dual education, as an integrated model that combines theoretical learning with workplace-based training, has proven effective in improving graduate employability, strengthening industry–academia collaboration, and ensuring alignment between vocational education and labor market demands. The study explores successful models implemented in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, and other leading countries, highlighting their regulatory, organizational, pedagogical, and assessment mechanisms. Practical recommendations are proposed for adapting these models to vocational institutions in developing contexts, considering socio-economic conditions, institutional capacities, and labor market needs.
