EARLY DIAGNOSTIC MARKERS AND CLINICAL OUTCOMES OF PEDIATRIC RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS IN PRIMARY HEALTHCARE SETTINGS
Abstract
Pediatric respiratory infections remain one of the leading causes of morbidity and healthcare utilization worldwide, particularly in primary healthcare settings. Early diagnosis is essential for timely treatment, prevention of complications, and rational use of antibiotics. This study aims to evaluate early diagnostic markers of respiratory infections in children and their association with clinical outcomes in primary healthcare practice. Clinical assessment combined with laboratory markers such as C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, and complete blood count parameters demonstrated significant value in predicting disease severity and outcomes. Early identification of high-risk patients contributed to improved clinical management and reduced complication rates.
