ARTISTIC REPRESENTATION AND POETIC MASTERY IN THE RUSSIAN TRANSLATIONS OF MIRZA TURSUNZADE’S POETRY
Abstract
This article provides an in-depth analysis of the artistic representation and poetic mastery observed in the Russian translations of Mirza Tursunzade’s poetry. As a leading figure in twentieth-century Tajik literature, Tursunzade developed a unique poetic style combining national imagery, lyrical expressiveness, and ideological depth. The study examines how these aesthetic features are rendered in Russian translations through various translation strategies. Drawing on theories of poetic translation and aesthetic equivalence, the article evaluates the degree to which translators preserve imagery, rhythm, metaphor, and emotional resonance, while adapting the original texts to the norms of Russian poetic discourse.
