THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION METHODS FOR CHILDREN WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS

Abstract

This article explores the effectiveness of inclusive education methodologies for children with hearing impairments, emphasizing pedagogical approaches that foster an inclusive learning environment. The study examines the role of adapted teaching techniques, such as visual aids, sign language, and assistive technologies, in supporting the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children with hearing impairments. The article highlights the importance of collaboration between special educators, speech therapists, and general education teachers in creating a learning space where all children, regardless of their abilities, can thrive. It also investigates the impact of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and multi-sensory teaching strategies in enhancing learning outcomes for children with hearing impairments in inclusive settings. The findings suggest that inclusive methodologies not only improve academic performance but also contribute to the overall social integration and well-being of these children. The article concludes with recommendations for further enhancing inclusive practices through professional development and systemic support.
