GRAMMAR TEACHING TECHNIQUES FOR DIFFERENT PROFICIENCY LEVELS

Abstract

This article explores effective grammar teaching techniques tailored for different proficiency levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced English language learners. It discusses strategies such as inductive and deductive approaches, contextualized grammar teaching, and task-based learning, highlighting their effectiveness at each level. By integrating activities like guided discovery, error correction, and authentic language use, educators can enhance both accuracy and fluency in students. Challenges such as balancing explicit and implicit grammar instruction and addressing fossilized errors are also examined. The article concludes that a flexible and learner-centered approach to grammar teaching significantly improves students' language proficiency.
