THE IMPORTANCE OF EMOTIONAL BONDING IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Emotional bonding between parents and children during early childhood is critical for the child’s psychological growth and social adjustment. This article explores the mechanisms of attachment formation, the role of secure attachments in promoting emotional regulation and social competence, and the consequences of disrupted or insecure bonds. Drawing from attachment theory and recent empirical studies, the paper underscores the importance of nurturing caregiving environments and offers practical recommendations for caregivers to foster healthy emotional bonds.
