Abstract

The article provides a detailed analysis of the pedagogical foundations and practical aspects of using game-based methods in teaching elements of athletics to first-year university students. Theoretical approaches are examined, the methodology for integrating game forms into the educational process is described, and the results of the experimental study are presented. It is shown that game-based methods enhance students’ motivation, foster a stable interest in physical exercise, promote active mastery of athletic techniques, and contribute to the development of physical qualities.
