Abstract

This article examines the historiographical perspectives concerning the Fergana Valley during the period of Amir Temur and the Temurid dynasty. The study evaluates primary and secondary sources to understand political, cultural, and socio-economic developments in Fergana within the broader context of the Central Asian renaissance under Temurid rule. The article analyzes the works of medieval chroniclers such as Sharaf ad-Din Ali Yazdi, Nizam al-Din Shami, and Mirzo Ulughbek, along with modern historiographic studies. Through a comparative and analytical approach, the research highlights the role of Fergana in state governance, military campaigns, urban development, scientific progress, and cultural evolution under the Temurids.
